The Toyota Carina was the biggest invention of Japanese automaker Toyota it was first introduced in the year 1970 as a sports-oriented sedan and supplementing the program between the midsize car series Corolla and the sports car series Toyota Celica. The model technology making is based on the Toyota Corona, which was identical in the last years of making.
During its running to 1998 production period of Carina was offered in different body shapes as a sedan with steep, flow and Saloon as well as coupe and station wagon. In Europe, Toyota Carina version first appeared in 1971 as a sedan in a 1.6-liter with 55 kW (75 hp).
The second-generation of Toyota Carina was introduced in Europe with the start of production of the new series in the year 1978.
