In Nissan Leaf the automotive revolution undergoes the sensible jump toward emission-free driving. With every meter of the electric drive is more convincing.
One sees it as though its innovative and all-electric drive technology, but it remains a compact car for urban adventures.
Nissan has designed its platform for the Leaf from scratch. Similar to the premium rivals BMW i3 or fun small car ZOE from parent company Renault which drive concept will be purely on electric power.
Presented in late 2009 in Japan to the world, Nissan makes production since the beginning of 2010 a pioneering role in alternative propulsion systems. So far, there is hardly a car such a lasting way. Only gradually new products from other manufacturers are entering the market, which could impede the Leaf. With an attractive price model Nissan tries to bring more and more customers from different car brands.
The customer can opt for a complete sale of the vehicle or to book the battery in a monthly rent as at Renault. The advantage of the second model is that the battery remains of the Nissan. Consequently, the end user does not have to be afraid to mess with failures of complex technology or even having to pay for it.
The 2013 model of the car cyclically follows the first revision. The Nissan Leaf is Europeanized to the high demands in terms of material selection, paint and color. Concretely, this means withholding more coherent cockpits. Although the layout remains the same, but with a keen sense of surfaces makes the Nissan feel-good atmosphere noticeably.
New metallic paints, larger wheels and more chrome trim evaluate the appearance on discreetly. Inside, particularly the rear passengers appreciate more freedom of movement by more contoured front seats.
The Nissan Leaf is absolutely convincing. It is a car, like many other modern compact cars with outstanding strengths and few weaknesses. Its concept on conditional range limitations makes up for it with a linear and good-natured driving behavior.
The Nissan Leaf makes its users very simple, environmentally sustainable to be out in daily use. In practice, the Leaf proven particularly in California, Norway and Japan, where it is one of the best-selling Nissan models. The courage to innovate has proven by Nissan. Now it depends on the courage of driver. The car is 10/10.
