Nissan launched Nissan wingroad in 1996. The wingroad was made available with SR20DE ion the place of GA13DS. Other included GA15DE and SR18DE.the Nissan wingroad was made available with more powerful engines when it is compared with the previous vehicle produced by the Nissan. The four-wheel drive was an optional feature. The wingroad name was adopted from the Nissan Bluebird U11 series.

 

Nissan Wingroad 2006 BACKGROUND

Nissan Wingroad 2006The Nissan ad is categorized as a compact van and a station wagon produced by the Nissan after the collaboration of the Nissan Motor Company and Nissan Shatai. The car was first released in 1982. The same vehicle when produced as a passenger car is known as Nissan wingroad. In Japan it is used as a substitute of Honda partner, a commercial delivery van.

 

In 1993, there were some minor changes with the 1.3 L automatic transmission improved to a four-speed. The wingroad was offered in two different transmissions such as a five-speed manual or a four-speed automatic. The wingroad JS model had resemblances with the larger Nissan Avenir Blastar. Both the vehicles were offered with two-tone paint scheme. And both also use a two-tone paint scheme. Later in Thailand, a Wingroad model was offered but it was very different from the one launched in Japan. It was a pickup truck based on the Y10.

 

Y11 Series

Y11 was the second series that was introduced in 1999. It was only available in a station wagon body style and was only sold in Japan. In Caribbean and Newzealand market it was known as Pulsar. It is perfunctorily related to the Nissan Sunny B15 series but with a totally different exterior whereas the interior is very similar to the Japanese market Nissan Sunny B15. It was modified in 2001 with an all new interior and a smooth front. The wingroad model was then offered with a range of engines such as 1.8 L QG18DE, 1.5 L QG15DE and 2.0 L SR20VE.

 

In 2000, the Nissan Wingroad was offered as a “G Extra” model. It was offered with an optional TV screen that could be folded down from the ceiling of the vehicle for the passengers sitting in the rear. In 2001, the producing operations were shifted from the Nissan Shatai factory to the facility in Shonan. The 2.0 L QR20DE was no longer used instead 2.0 L SR20VE engine was in use. And there were different packages of wingroad offered by the Nissan after every six months. The "Aero Sport Limited" and Aero packages were a few.

 

Y12 SERIES

An all new Nissan wingroad was released in 2005 previously was displayed at the 39th Tokyo Motor Show. It was offered with an optional CVT or a four-speed automatic. It was available in very limited packages such as "V Selection", "Sport Acapello" and "Rider α II". In 2006 the intelligent key feature was included to the features list of Nissan wingroad. After the discontinued production of the Nissan Stagea in 2007, the Wingroad/AD van was the only station wagon produced by the Nissan.
