The compact SUV Audi Q3 is introduced to the market since October 2011. Like the VW Tiguan, Q3 is based on the Audi A3 and the VW Golf platform.
With a length of 4.20 meters and a width of 1.80 meters, the developers designed the car as a classic compact SUV. The low height of 1.60 meters contributes to the dynamic appearance of the Audi Q3.
At its launch, the car offer with four different engine options including a 2.0 TDI diesel engine with 110 kW (150 hp) or 135 kW (184 hp) or a 2.0 TFSI petrol engine with 1132 kW (180 hp) 147 kW (200 hp) or 162 kW (220 hp).
The torque varies depending on the model 280-380 newton meters; the start-stop system is standard with recuperation. The seven-speed comes with standard more powerful petrol engine variant of the standard equipment; this is designed for torques up to 600 Nm. The multi-plate clutch drives permanently to all four wheels.
Start assist also is standard; Audi offers further assistance systems as an option, inter alia, various parking aids and lane departure warning. Those interested in less powerful used Audi Q3 cars can buy manual six-speed gearbox.
The facelift of Audi Q3 comes with the most striking changes including the LED headlights and turn signals with its spectacular light show at the back side. In addition to the revisions into the design improvements in the engines are worth mentioning.
These comply with the Euro 6 standard and build for the diesel Audi the AdBlue tank and a SCR catalyst. In addition, the fuel consumption was reduced by up to 17 percent according to the manufacturer.
