The Premio is a more stylish and more luxury based sedan when compared with the Toyota Allion. Both the cars have the same engine and were introduced concurrently where the Premio is considered to be a more executive type car. It is also categorized as a family car. The Toyota Premio has been released a long time after the release of the Toyota Corona and Corona Premio.

 

The first generation Toyota Premio was released in 2001. It was made available in three different engines such as 1.5L, 1.8L and the 2.0L. In 2005, the Premio had a minor modification with new upgraded brake lights. The second generation Toyota Premio was released in 2007. It had a more luxurious look with the recent changes including the front bumpers, headlamp cluster and grille. But the noteworthy change was the addition of LED.

The LE is available with heated mirrors, 16-inch alloy wheels, variable intermittent wipers, steering-wheel audio controls, Bluetooth, cruise control and a six-speaker stereo with iPod connectivity. The S has a sport-look body kit, foglights, upgraded cloth upholstery and a rear spoiler. The optional features on the LE and S models are a sunroof along with a console, lamps and holder for sunglasses, Bluetooth streaming audio, a touchscreen navigation system with voice control and a satellite radio.
The 2012 Toyota Premio is charged with a 1.8-liter engine. The five-speed manual is offered as a standard and a four-speed automatic is offered as an optional. The cabin is not very pleasant to the eyes and the material used is just average. On the other hand the controls are very easy to use.


The 2012 Toyota Premio has a very soft ride with a smooth engine. The seats are comfortable as to a long journey is made with ease. There is a good amount of space in the front seats as well as the back seats are also comfortable.
