The Nissan Sylphy previously known as Nissan Bluebird Sylphy is categorized as a compact car manufactured by the Japanese automaker Nissan. It was first released in 2000. It has also been advertized with some other model names such as Sentra and Pulsar.
THE FIRST GENERATION NISSAN SYLPHY
The first generation Nissan sylphy was released as the G10 or N16 series Bluebird Sylphy in 2000. After its released it replaced Nissan Pulsar. It was known with different names in different export markets such as Pulsar in Australasia, Almera in Europe and Brunei, plus Sunny in Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand and the Middle East and Sentra in Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines and Taiwan.
It was offered in a single body style a four-door sedan. In the UK it was produced in three and five-door hatchback models too. These were specifically produced for the export to the European markets with different frontal styling and a different grille. There was some of the sedan models produced for the export to the European countries with a different grille as appeared on the hatchback models.
In 2003, the Bluebird Sylphy underwent a modification including the revised grille, new tail lights and a very new tail end. These changes were included to the Sunny and Sentra models for the Southeast Asian markets.
THE SECOND GENERATION NISSAN SYLPHY
The G11 series Bluebird Sylphy is based on the Nissans B platform and was codenamed as G11. This car was released at the Tokyo Motor Show in 2005. It was equipped with the same engine as was fitted on the Nissan Latio, Versa and Tiida. The 2.0 L model of Nissan Bluebird Sylphy has Nissans Xtronic Continuously Variable Transmission (Xtronic-CVT). This combination stimulates powerful acceleration and improves fuel efficiency. Due to its extended wheelbase, the Nissan sylphy has a very spacious interior. The rear is similar to Toyota Camry and Nissan Teana. Initiating from 2008 the bluebird sylphy is offered in many export markets as the Nissan sylphy. It is sold in south East Asian countries including china.
THE THIRD GENERATION NISSAN SYLPHY
The third generation Nissan sylphy was released in 2013 at the 2012 Beijing Auto Show. It is also known as the Nissan pulsar and Nissan Sentra. The car has a premium design and more aerodynamic. It includes sharp angled trunk lid, LED tail lamps and LED-bordered headlamps. For some export markets it has a dual-zone climate control and an intelligent key with push start button.
In japan it was released in 2012 with the “Bluebird” dropped from the Nissan Bluebird Sylphy. In Philippines, the Nissan sylphy was released in 2014. It was offered in bronze, gray, white, silver and black.
THE HONDA CIVIC
The Honda civic was introduced long ago in the market when compared with the Nissan sylphy. Both the cars are categorized as a compact and sub compact car. Honda civic has been produced with many modifications over the ten generations. It has been a part of many media appearances and was sold globally in numerous countries. Honda civic has won many awards too.
