INTERIOR AND EXTERIOR

The Daewoo Magnus came armed with one of the lowest price tags in the segment, along with a decent interior and pleasant ride quality. Still, it became immediately apparent that the sedans modest charms werent enough to lure buyers in this highly competitive segment. The Daewoo Magnus was made available with a very low price and with an appropriate interior and satisfying ride quality. But the high competition soon reduced the demand of the car.

AVAILABLE MODELS

The Daewoo Magnus, that was available during 2004 to 2006 the midsize sedan was the largest car of the Suzuki, with a considerably low price it was an easy way into the category of a mid size sedan. The economical Daewoo Magnus was available in three models such as S, LX and EX. The S model was available with 15-inch wheels, a CD player and full power accessories keyless entry and air-conditioning. The LX model was made available with auxiliary remote steering wheel controls, 16-inch alloys and climate control. The Verona EX was available with additional features including Traction control, power moonroof, electrochromatic rearview mirror, heated seats.

HANDLING AND PERFORMANCE

Ordinary handling and performance and shortage of key safety features were the biggest factors for the customers turned off resulting in poor sales. The exterior features and looks were very dull with wheelbase of the size of a Honda Accord. From the inside, the cabin was very much familiar to the Volkswagen Passat and Honda Accord. The material used was a fine quality giving an air of class however the leather and the plastic used on the dashboard were poor quality. Coming to the cars performance it had a 2.5-liter inline six-cylinder engine that had to put in lots of efforts for the basic performance.

Suzuki stepped forward and did the required modification to make it more appealing and in 2005 the car was available with side airbags, a trunk-mounted tool case and a standard tire-pressure monitoring system whereas the LX model was available with a standard sunroof. And the brakes became available as standard in 2006. The models were also shortened in numbers such as the base and luxury.
