Overview of Ford Flex

This is the first vehicle of this design which was launched under the brand name Ford Taurus X in 2005 in the USA, but remained in the program only for a short period of four years, before the Ford Flex in the summer of 2008 an optically and technically advanced version of the crossover came into the market. The Ford Flex for sale has now marketed as a crossover SUV or crossover utility vehicle (CUV) due to its dimensions and its style, which is inspired by terrain-driven vehicles.

 

Technically, the Ford Flex was based on a modified platform, which the manufacturer had developed together with the Scandinavians at the time of its involvement with the Swedish autobus Volvo and which is also the basis for the newer generations of the SUVs of the Ford Explorer series.

 

Specifications

As per the Ford Flex reviews, the car was available as standard with front-wheel drive and optionally with an all-wheel drive. Especially in the four-wheel drive version, the Ford Flex, designed for two tons of trailer load, could also be used as a towing vehicle. As a motorization, the manufacturer used the Ford Flex V6 petrol units, which delivered a power output of up to 195 kW (265 hp) in the basic version. The V6 top engine offered the Ford Flex up to 265 kW (360 hp).

 

Dimensions

While the designers were more compact and dynamically rounded, the Ford Flex for sale was more angular and more massive in the mid-size SUV class. With a wheelbase of three meters, the Flex got a body of a good 5.13 meters in length and initially more than two meters in width. Only with the model maintenance in 2013 the manufacturer reduced the Flex in the width by about ten centimeters. Ford Flex price varies from model to model.

 

While the high front seemed to be inspired by the style of classic off-road vehicles, the 1.70-meter-high body with the vertically sloping rear and the side glazing reaching to the tailgate made the influence of large-area vans noticeable.

 

Interior

The engineers implemented the large-room giant concept in the car for seats. The full roof height made it possible to mount a third seat row in the Ford Flex so that the model could be configured as a 7-seater. It is just like a modern large-capacity van, the two rear seat rows could be folded over and sunk into the vehicle floor in order to have a flat loading area available. The special feature in the interior of the Ford Flex: As an option, the higher-quality equipment lines had a factory built refrigerator, which was integrated between the seats of the second row of seats.

 

Verdict

In a nutshell, the car is very spacious with a lot of elegant features in it that makes it look cool from the outside as well. The interior gets all the points basically because it has a lot of space and can accommodate 7 people. Used For Flex review states that the vehicle is an exemplary people mover.
