In accordance with Zimbabwe’s updated import regulations, consignees must provide proof of pre-clearance and duty payment before the clearing agent can initiate vehicle delivery from Durban to Zimbabwe.

Exceptions apply only if the shipping documents clearly indicate that the vehicle was shipped prior to the inspection enforcement date of 1 June 2022.​
Should the pre-shipment inspection not be completed prior to the vehicle’s export, the Ministry of Industry and Commerce (MIC) will impose a penalty of 15% of the vehicle’s CIF value, in addition to the full cost of an inspection conducted in Zimbabwe.
