Trucks of Different Weight Classes
With the increase in distribution traffic, small trucks weighing up to 3.5 tonnes have gained a great logistical significance. For this reason, some manufacturers offer combi-vans, box-wagons or high -roof combi -coaches, which can be given an often tax-saving truck license in Germany without a rear seat bench or with a windowless rear area. Many truck manufacturers also have a weight class of less than 7.5 tonnes of small transport vehicles, which in some countries are not subject to truck driving restrictions. Moreover, the small delivery vans may be driven by a car driving license. For the other classes of weight, the authorities require at least one Class C driving license. Trucks for Different Bodies And Small Trailers
The versatile linkage with truck and flatbed trailer is still the classic on the roads. However, the tractors today are comfortably equipped cockpits with lots of electronic helpers. A more recent development are the semi-trailer trailers, which can accommodate trailers of various construction types and are thus particularly flexible to use. Light, medium and heavy trucks can often be ordered directly from the factory with conventional superstructures such as suitcases. If only the tractor delivered as a chassis, specialized automotive companies manufacture the desired structures, truck trailers or semi-trailers. Customary some manufacturers also offer small all-wheel drive trucks for construction sites, which are often designed as three-way tippers.
