The Toyota Crown

The Toyota Crown is based on a series of mid-size and full-size luxury sedans cars produced by the Toyota. It was first released in 1955. It is the longest running passenger-car associated with the label “Toyota”. It was also the first Toyota car to be exported to the United States. Nissan FugaNissan Gloria and Nissan Cedric have been the Toyota crown’s competitors. It has been popularly associated with police car for the government officials. Also used as a taxicab too. However in 1995 Toyota comfort was produced as an affordable option.

Towards the end of 1955, a more updated and opulent model was released it had a heater and a radio as standard. Latter in 1959, Japans’ first passenger car with diesel engine was released. It was named as the Crown Diesel. The taxi models of the Toyota crown became available from 1959 in the form of a three- or six-seater coupe utility and an estate wagon.


The second generation was released in 1962 with availability of a custom model as well. It had some styling resemblances with that of a Ford Falcon whereas the front grille has an appearance just like Imperial Crown (Chrysler). The station wagon body style was offered as a very luxurious model. The Toyota Crown has been produced in fourteen generations and is still in production.


MERCEDES- BENZ

Mercedes-Benz is a German brand for luxury automobiles such as trucks, coaches and buses. Karl Benzs 1886 Benz Patent-Motorwagen is the first vehicle produced under Benz and was also the first gasoline powered automobile.

The technological innovations produced by the Mercedes-Benz include a pre safe system to detect an imminent crash, it was first initiated by the Mercedes Benz.
Mercedes-Benz was the first vehicle to develop and test brake assist and electronic stability programme into its vehicle. In 1886, with the joint venture of Maybach, Daimler and Benz an internal combustion engined automobile was released. The first passenger car with brakes on all four wheels was also released by the Mercedes Benz. In 1951, Mercedes-Benz developed the first safety cell with the front and rear crumple zones. Mercedes for the first time introduced airbags in the European market with 1981 S-Class model.


In 2003 Mercedes established the worlds first seven-speed automatic transmission.


ENVIRONMENTAL FRIENDLY CARS

There are a range of multi concept cars produced by the Mercedes such as fuel-cell powertrains, fully electric and hybrid electric cars. There were seven hybrid models released by the Mercedes-Benz at the Frankfurt motor show in 2007.latter in 2009, Mercedes put on exhibition at the North American International Auto Show three BlueZero concept cars. Quality and durability have always been well maintained with Mercedes-Benz. It has won many awards for its quality of vehicles. It has the lowest vehicle recall rate as put forward by the 2014 study of iSeeCars.com. Mercedes-Benz participated in 1954 and 1955 world championship and won titles with Fangio who is considered to be the best F1 driver in history. In 2014, Mercedes secured the F1 Constructors title after its great influence over the season.
