Toyota Carina is a vehicle that had the manufacturing started in 1970 and stands between the small size Corolla and large size Corona. It is a combination of both family car and is used for sports purpose also. In past it was the first vehicle that brought in reclining seats head restraints, radio, reversing light and brake assist included in the showroom version of the vehicle. Over the years it improved greatly and in 2001 the production ceased.
The Toyota Carina E was introduced as a European version of Toyota T platform and came from 1992 to 1998 as a sedan only vehicle in sixth generation.

Body Style
Coming as a mid size vehicle, it improved from being offered as a 2/4 door sedan, 2 door hardtop coupe and 5 door wagon to exclusively sedan at the end. The body was restyled in 1972 for the first time, just one year after the launch. It had betterment in rear light clusters, restyled front grille and fascia alongside much more promising to offer. The 1975 further brought in more restyling in the same first generation. That is the reason in domestic market of Japan and in international market the loyal customer base multiplied.
Gear Shift Experience
In the first generation the transmission offered was both manual and automatic having the 4/5 speed without human intervention experience and 2/3 speed automatic transmission to support. The sixth generation of the vehicle brought in the Toyota Carina E that had 5 speed manual transmissions alongside 6 speed manual and 4 speed automatic one. The experience was made tantalizing with the gear shift contributing directly to quality experience.
Toyota Carina - Interior Layout
The interior layout was synchronized with the changing car body. Although the last generation brought in features enhancement to a new level with Power options, safety options and infotainment option respectively. The Power option included the Power Window for smooth movement of windows, safety with Anti-lock Braking System and Traction Control that worked on giving maneuvering ease by preventing brake lock aside from under steering and over steering. The screen installed on dashboard provided two options of working as TV and Navigation at the same time.
