The History of Honda Small Cars
The comprehensive model range of the Japanese manufactured Honda small cars has been here since the 1960s, which is offered both as new as well as used cars around the world. In 1970 Honda published the Honda Z600 the successor to the Honda N600. In this extraordinary vehicle is a small car in the dress of a coupe. In 1983 the first generation saw Honda Jazz the light of day. This, however, was built only until 1986. In 2002, Honda introduced in Europe once a small car named Jazz. This was in 2008 replaced by the next generation, the segment of small cars represented, which is still going off the assembly line, and in the current product portfolio of Honda.
The Development of Honda Small Cars
Honda made in the course of its corporate history always sits up with equally innovative and successful small car. The currently offered Honda Jazz can look back on a long history of model and therefore has been one of the classics among the automobiles made by Honda. So Honda decided already in the first generation of jazz, which was presented in 1983 to sell these in Europe. After a short construction period of only three years Honda revived the name Jazz only in 2001 again. This year a new generation of Honda Jazz, which convinced with solid quality and fresh design and unusual finishes, which is why they still ranks among today requested cars.
End of 2005, underwent its subcompact Honda Jazz a facelift, in the small car was among other new exterior mirrors with integrated turn signals. Technical Specifications
The current model generation of the Honda Jazz is offered in Europe with two different petrol engines as well as a hybrid vehicle. Both petrol engines are four-cylinder engines, which provide 90 or 99 hp. While the smaller petrol engine is only available with a manual five-speed gearbox, Honda offers the more powerful petrol option is also available with a CVT automatic. The hybrid version of the Honda Jazz comes to a system output of 102 hp; the petrol engine delivers 88 hp and 14 hp electric units.
All three versions of the Honda Jazz comply with the Euro 5 emissions standard. The second generation of the Honda Jazz was offered with two different petrol engines. The smaller 1.2-liter engine produces 78 horsepower, the larger 1.4-liter engine delivers maximum output of 83 hp. Again, the larger gasoline engine was optionally available with a CVT automatic like the Honda Jazz "feel good" and the Honda Jazz "Cool" convince with extensive facilities and a very attractive price, which makes them very interesting.
