Ford Focus First Series

The Ford Focus is a compact class car offered by the American Multinational Company Ford Motors. Ford Focus is one of the most successful cars of all time. It was famous and best-selling car right after two years of its launched in 2000 and 2001. The very first Ford Focus produced as a five-door hatchback and three sedans. In 1999 a four-door sedan has also been introduced to the market. The Ford Focus raised its worth firstly by the New Edge Design (known by the Ford Ka), secondly, by the unique and very complex designed rear axle car in compact car class.

 

Standard Equipments of Focus

ford focusThe first models of the Ford Focus possessed standard with four airbags, electric front windows, ABS, and traction control. The extensive special equipment of the Ford Focus Turnier included air conditioning, heated seats, cruise control, and trip computer and then ESP also added later. In 2001 the headlights have been changed as part of the facelift. They had now integrated indicators and separate high and low beams. Inside, a few details have been modified and the combination of Ford was offered only with roof rails.

The engines specifications include in the first generation are hardly any other compact car offered in the late 90s since the then engine of the Ford Focus is generous. There were seven petrol engines and four diesel engines available, with the following features for gasoline engines:

 

• 1.4-liter, 1,388 cubic centimeters, 75 hp, maximum torque 123 Nm at 3,500 rpm

• 1.6 liter, 1,596 cubic centimeters, 101 hp, maximum torque 145 Nm at 4,000 rpm

• 1.8 liter, 1,796 cubic centimeters, 116 hp, maximum torque 160 Nm at 4,400 rpm

• Three 2.0-liter engines with 131, 173 and 215 hp and 1,988 cc, maximum torque 178, 196 or 310 Newton meters at 4,500, 5,600 or 3,500 revolutions per minute.

 

The Ford Focus was also held with powerful diesel engines. Here are the technical specifications for the 1.8-liter engine as follows:

• 1.8 TDDi, 1,753 cc, 75 hp, maximum torque 175 Nm at 1,800 rpm

• 1.8 TDDi, 1,753 cc, 90 hp, maximum torque 200 Nm at 2,000 rpm

• 1.8 TDCi, 1,753 cc, 101 hp, maximum torque 240 Nm at 1750 rpm

• 1.8 TDCi, 1,753 cc, 115 hp, peak torque 250 Newton meters at 1,850 revolutions per minute.
