The Volvo S60 is categorized as a compact executive car manufactured by the Swedish automaker Volvo. It was first produced in 2000.the first generation Volvo is codenamed as the V70 and the second generation is codenamed as the V60.

FIRST GENERATION OF VOLVO S60

The Volvo s 60 was developed on Volvo’s P2 platform that was a shared platform with other models of Volvo such as the S80, V70, XC70 and finally the XC90. The Volvo S60 was launched in 2000 as the company’s new sports sedan. The Volvo S60 was released in 2000 (2001 model year) being the companys new generation sports sedan. The S60 was intended to compete with the Mercedes-Benz C-Class and the BMW 3-Series. Contrary to the competitors the Volvo S60 remained in production for about nine years with numerous modifications. In 2005 modified version the car had the changes to the exterior mainly while the interior too had some changes with the seats and designing of the cabin. In the 2008 modification of the vehicle, it had the interior with all new set of features available.

SECOND GENERATION OF VOLVO S60

The Volvo S60 includes a four-cylinder 1.6 L petrol engine that uses Gasoline Turbocharged Direct Injection (GTDi). This car was displayed in a number of shows in 2009.

The production of the second generation Volvo initiated in 2010. And the official photos were made available in 2009.finally the car was revealed in 2010 at the Geneva Motor Show. It was launched first time in North America in 2011. It was offered with a variety of engines such as T3, T4, T5 and T6 petrol engines as well as D3, D5 and 1.6D DRIVe diesel engines. The Volvo S60 had Volvos City Safety system as standard. Also included was a new safety feature “Pedestrian Detection".

The Audi A4

The Audi A4 is categorized as a compact executive car manufactured by the German automaker Audi since 1994. It is offered as a sedan and a station wagon. The B6 and B7 models of the A4 had a convertible model too.

THE FIRST GENERATION OF AUDI A4

The first generation Audi A4 was released in 1994 and was primarily available in a four-door saloon/sedan body style. It is also known as Typ 8D. Audi also had the new tiptronic automatic transmission for the first time. A redesigned model was released in 1997 at the Frankfurt Motor Show. It had a 2.5 litre V6 Turbocharged Direct Injection (TDI) diesel engine. The new facelift features include door handles, headlights and rear lights.

THE SECOND GENERATION AUDI A4

The second generation A 4 was released in 2000. It is also known as Typ 8E. It had a very exciting style. The safety feature such as Anti-lock Braking System , Electronic Stability Programme (ESP) system, Electronic Brakeforce Distribution and brake assist. The 2002 Audi was a more powerful vehicle available with the 1.8 Turbo engines. It had a Fuel Stratified Injection (FSI) too. After a year in 2003, Audi released a modified S4 with a 4.2 L V8 engine. It had styling changes o the body of the car and an electro-hydraulic operated roof.

THIRD GENERATION OF AUDI

It was released in 2004.it is also known as Typ 8E/ 8H. It used the Volkswagen B6 (PL46) platform. It was available with many internal and external changes such as new engine ranges, steering settings, navigation systems including ESP 8.0 Electronic Stability Programme.

FOURTH GENERATION OF AUDI

The fourth generation Audi photos were first released in 2007 and the car was displayed at the Frankfurt Motor Show in the same year. It is also known as Typ 8K. It was offered with four models such as Sedan¸ A4L, Avant and A4 allroad Quattro. The Avant model was released in 2008 at the Geneva Motor Show and was very much admired.
