The Mitsubishi RVR was first introduced in 1991 by Mitsubishi Motors.

The first generation was produced between 1991 till 2002 and the second generation was produced since 2010 to present. The first two generation vehicles were categorized as the multi-purpose vehicles (MPV), whereas the latest one produced in 2010 is known as a compact crossover.

The acronym RVR stands for "Recreation Vehicle Runner". The passenger cabin was very capacious with comfortable seating arrangements for 4 to 5 people. It turned out a hit as it was introduced during Japan’s "bubble economy (Japanese economic boom). It is mostly popular for its sliding door fitted on the passenger side.
In alliance with latest trends three dials are provided under the radio control for the climate settings. The steering wheel is available with height and depth adjustments and has a very good grip. It has radio buttons and cruise control buttons too.

The front seats are comfortable enough and are made of thick material. The rear seats are adjustable and can provide capacious space for larger items when need to be transported.

The GT model is the most splendid in the RVR family. The exterior of the RVR looks very familiar to the Outlander. The interior is impeccably built and furnished with very fine material. The GT is available with a sizable panoramic roof. The car offer lots of practical utility and has a very good material. You can easily shift from all wheel-drive mode to the two-wheel drive with turning the large aluminum button on the central console.

FIRST GENERATION OF MITSUBISHI RVR

The RVR was fundamentally a second generation Mitsubishi Chariot with a reduced chassis including the parts of the longer vehicle. It is designed as a tall wagon SUV with a double row of seating and the availability of sliding door on the passenger side as Toyota Raum and Nissan Prairie. In Europe it was called as the Mitsubishi Space Runner, in the USA they called it Mitsubishi Expo LRV whereas the same Japanese market name was used by Asian and Oceania.

SECOND GENERATION OF MITSUBISHI RVR

The second generation was launched in 1997. The feature of sliding door on the passenger cabin was still used whereas the car was restyled for the European market and was made available with the name Mitsubishi Space Runner.

THIRD GENERATION OF MITSUBISHI RVR

The new RVR is based on the existing Outlander’s platform and the Lancer’s five-speed gearbox, adapted to suit the new diesel and an incisive and forceful road presence. The model is available as a significantly modified vehicle similar to the Chariot Grandis. Vehicles available with the 2.4 L. engines were likely for being charged additional yearly tax in Japan for exceeding engine size suggested by the Japanese regulations. The vehicles that were available with smaller engines were not likely to get charged. The high-level performance model "Sports Gear X3", was offered with shift knob and xenon headlights, leather-wrapped steering wheel.

The comfort features of RVR M Grade 2010 include TV, Air Conditioning, Navigation System, tinted glass, power windows and power locks. The safety features are passenger and driver airbags, Alloy Wheels, Fog lights. Overall the Mitsubishi RVR is available in a very affordable price considering its fine built body and comfortable features.
