Honda Stream debut took place in 2000 in Japan, and less than a year presented a model in Europe. As conceived by the founders, Stream had to fill the gap, which was formed after withdrawing from the production Civic and Shuttle in the back Aerodeck.


The compact seven-seater minivan built on the extended platform of the new Honda Civic. Honda Stream is a new word in the MPV class, still not a passenger car or a minivan – Honda Stream 2001 balances wherever on the edge of offering their customers the top specifications of both classes. The car combines the possibility of multi-use, ease of control and maneuverability.


Appearance       

The Honda cars always have relatively small height and low-slung body of the driver and passengers, which is not only a tribute to "sports" image, but also an effective way to lower the center of gravity, and means to improve ride quality. Now it helped to write on the dimensions of a standard multi-seat saloon and wagon to provide excellent handling.  


Interior

The design of the car attracts attention. Spindle-shaped body with red ribbon lights encircling the rear window looks original. The interior gives a relatively small height Stream appeal as well as the quick look, but does not have an effect on the console of the passenger room: complex arrangement of parts beneath as well as adequately small floor let passengers to feel free as well as relaxed to any of the three rows of seats. Salon offers a variety of transformation, the third row seats to make room for bulky cargo.


For rear passengers there are special containers and even deflectors’ ventilation system. In finishing salon Japanese aesthetic minimalism: here reign simple lines, dark gray plastic, and in secluded places a lot of boxes and shelves for small things. Enliven the overall picture insert "on Titan" and fluorescent orange graphics scales climate control knobs.


Engine


The engine and transmission are equipped with petrol engines in volume of 1.7 and 2.0 liters. All-aluminum 2.0-liter unit has received a new intelligent system dynamically controlling the valve timing and valve lift i-VTEC (intelligent-VTEC).  Transmission - 5-speed "mechanics" and two 4-step "automatic" for 1.7 liter engine in addition to 5-speed for the 2.0-liter, and a "sequential" mode. Automatic transmission goes through smoothly and almost inaudibly, providing a smooth and quiet ride. If desired, in the left position of the selector is switched to manual control box.  During 2002 there was a sports version of the Stream with a more powerful engine. In Japan, all-wheel drive version is also available Honda Stream.


 Suspension

Stream equipped with all wheel independent suspension, disc brakes, stabilizer bars front and rear. Standard equipment that Honda Stream offered with a plurality of elements of safety and comfort: central locking, immobilizer, ABS, belts with tensioners, four airbags, climate control, electric sunroof, windows and mirrors, heated mirrors and front seats, musical training with four speakers, as well as fog lamps and alloy wheels. The Honda stream 2001 is one of the best cars offered by Honda in its series which has great interior and exterior that makes it worth buying.
