The Honda CR-Z made its debut in 2010 as a sport coupe vehicle along with hybrid drive. With the Coupe Honda CRX the Japanese automaker Honda was presented in world markets since the early 1980s.


After the production of the model 1998 had expired, the Japanese modernized this principle and introduced a new car with the aim of creating electric motor usability for sports.
