The Mira is the successor of the series of cars that started with Daihatsu Fellow in 1966 and was basically launched ad a commercial version of the Daihatsu Cuore. Beside Japan, the Kei car has also been available with the engine of 850 cc and 1000 cc displacement. Moreover, in Australia the car’s two seater and two door version was offered as Daihatsu Handivan or Handi. So the name Mira is a Latin word which means purpose or goal.
