Nissan Civilian was first introduced in 1959 and till date it has been manufactured and marketed in different parts of the world. Its major markets include Japan, Middle East, Africa, South America and Asia Pacific aside from places where the economy is boosted.


A country like Japan has efficient bus system making the car owners even ride on buses because of ease and hassle free factor. As a mini bus the Nissan Civilian is used as a freshly manufactured or used vehicle. It shows following information on a quick review:

Design And Engine

The Nissan Civilian is sold as W41 today, even though the name Civilian is still there for the vehicle. It had direct competition with Mitsubishi Fuso Rosa, Isuzu Journey and Toyota Coaster. The look that it brings is of a typical bus with the logo of Nissan attached on the front. The engine variation included the TB45E in 4500 CC petrol, TD42 in 4200 CC diesel, TD42T in 4200 CC turbo diesel, RD28T in 2800 CC diesel turbo, ED33 in 3300 CC diesel, ED33T in 3300 CC turbo diesel and ED35 in 3500 CC diesel option respectively.

Trims and Features

There are different trims on which the Nissan Civilian features are based on. The GLX include folding high back seats, cloth carpet, automatic sliding door, tinted windows and self leveling suspension. The DX include an automatic folding door, lower back seats, non-tinted windows with curtain and non-reclined. The  SX trim brings in automatic folding door, foldable high back seats, refined audio equipment, rear windshield wipers. The other trims are GX and TX that are much high trim with premium features of cruise control and self leveling suspension aside from a number of other options.


Because of being the best in gentry Nissan Civilian is used as school bus, ambulance, library car, prisoner van and much more.
