Mercedes S350 Review - The Quintessential Car

Overview

The Mercedes-Benz S-Class which was previously known as Sonderklasse is a lineup of flagship vehicles formed by the German automaker giants, Mercedes-Benz. The S-Class, top-of-the-line series by Mercedes, had its official introduction in 1972 with the release of W116 and has existed operational ever since.

The Mercedes S-Class S350 is the most impressive Mercedes one can buy. With a combination of cutting-edge technology and the highest levels of comfort, it is by far the best Sedan offered by Mercedes.

The S350 offers a host of some hot and exciting new features topped by such an interior that has no match in the industry.

Mercedes S350 Specs

The engine type is diesel turbo F/INJ with a 3.0L engine size and diesel turbo V6 cylinders. The maximum torque and maximum power are 620Nm at 1600rpm and 190kW at 3600rpm respectively. It is a rear wheel drive and a 7 SP automatic G-Tronic transmission.

Diesel is the allotted fuel type with fuel tank capacity of 70 litres. The Mercedes S350 averages 100km on 6 litres.

Mercedes S350 Features

The vehicle is super comfortable with an automatic climate control option with dual temperature zones. The front seats are power and have heating options. A power sunroof is present as well.

The control and handling features go about with air suspension, electronic brake force distribution, the electronic stability program, traction control system. Also, there are 18 inch alloy wheels and hill holder.

Mercedes S350 Interior/Exterior

There is lots of logic and clarity in the two big instruments and display screens. They are built from pretty leather, metal and wood. There is no match to the comfort provided by the Mercedes S350 interior, rear or front. The LWB version allows the rear seats to recline halfway to horizontal for massage, heating and ventilation. An aircraft like a treat.

The rear section has a large legroom and comprehensive entertainment. There is an option of using binocular vision to identify bumps on the road and send signals to the wheels as they pass over it. A feature which is miraculous.

Mercedes S350 Fuel Consumption

The Mercedes S-Class is the most fuel-efficient saloon one could buy.  No competing rival can match its fuel consumption statistics.

Mercedes gives another S-class which is diesel hybrid – nothing like it offered by rivals – that averaged convincingly more than 60mpg in tests. The regular diesel and petrol hybrid are also very economical.
