Honda Motor Co Ltd is a Japanese multinational with hands in manufacturing automobiles and motorcycles. It has been the largest motorcycle manufacturer since 1959 with the privilege of manufacturing internal combustion engine. It stands at eighth position behind General Motors, Volkswagen Group, Toyota, Hyundai, Ford, Nissan and PSA. It was the year 1946 that the company was founded and till today the struggle to carve niche continues. There were a number of brands that came under this company and in many cases they gave direct competition to their Honda sibling.
One such case is that of Honda Stream and Honda Odyssey where the true brands competed with each other to gain market share.
History
Honda Stream was first introduced in the year 2000 as a compact MPV that was a mix of compact MPV and SUV with handling efficiency. In the first generation it came as a Front engine front wheel drive layout and front engine four wheel drive respectively. The displacement remained 1800 CC and 2000 CC in most of the generation with exception of 1700 CC in a few options.
The Honda Odyssey is much senior than Stream with the first model availability in market as of 1994. The vehicle came as a 2200 CC, 2300 CC, 2400 CC and 3000 CC which narrowed down to 2400 CC. The speed options included the 5 gear box option of automatic and manual transmission with Continuously Variable Transmission to support.
Features
The features of the two options are almost similar with the basics like Power Window for smooth window transition, Power Steering for synchronization of steering wheel and tires, aside from aesthetically pleasing inside out. The dashboard has indicators for fuel, engine temperature and speedometer.
The exterior has Alloy Wheels for image enhancement, Roof Rail for additional luggage carriage and Sun Roof for panoramic view of surrounding. The colors available in body include the Red, Blue, Beige and Silver option to support.
The Honda Stream and Honda Odyssey rules the market with similarity to offer, though both have a separate market chunk to cater in the global sales.
