Toyota Motor Corporation is a multinational founded in 1937. It has produced a number of models under the name of Hino, Scion, Ranz and Lexus. It has also owned a percentage of shares in different companies starting from the nominal 0.27% share of Tesla, 5.9 % share of Isuzu, 16.66% share of Fuji Heavy Industries and 51.2% share of Daihatsu.

To cash the good will Toyota Corolla Spacio was launched in 1997. Although the   platform used was completely unique but Corolla name was expected to bring in better market capitalization.


The Spacio car had the production discontinued in 2009, though in used car market it still exists. The reason behind its short tenure success as a vehicle is as follows:

The Toyota Spacio had an average amount of sale over the tenure, though the body of the vehicle was designed with high spirit. In the first generation it came as minivan version that consists of two boxes like Toyota Avensis. The second generation in the new century had curves and bents improved to a new level, while the third generation came with more improvements, in a way that the European market considered it among the best selling compact MPV.
