The abbreviation for FSI is Fuel Stratified Injection. We translate with direct fuel injection (detailed explanation see Section 3 / "VW gasoline direct injection"). So now it is also in golf petrol. Equally unremarkable as the Volkswagen Golf Fsi looks, it behaves well. A twist of the ignition key, the engine starts immediately and runs around.

 

When starting lacks compared the brawny torque of the TDI, it develops its power evenly from low engine speeds and sets at about 3500 trips again after powerful. VW Gasoline Direct Injection

The Volkswagen Golf Fsi is based on the 1.6-liter four-cylinder with dual overhead cam and four valves per cylinder, but unlike this, the fuel is not injected into the intake manifold, but directly into the combustion chamber. The fuel is supplied as in modern diesels on a common storage line (common rail). The pressure is much higher than the manifold injection. Again, the FSI is even more economical than the intake manifold injection. At full load, the FSI works like a normal petrol.
