Toyota Opa - The 5 Year Span Car |
The short span of 5 years, brought in a car that was good enough to capture market, but had discontinuation of production. Toyota Opa was launched in 2000 and continued till 2005. All models of Opa including 2001, 2002, 2003 and 2004 have great demand in Japanese used car maket. It was available as a 5 door Crossover Utility Vehicle and brought in features of sports vehicle with passenger vehicle.

The overall cost of the vehicle is expected to be in control because of being a Toyota. The vehicle since its launch in 1999 Tokyo Motor Show makes it evident that it was targeted to masses. The Toyota Opa review, in multiple auto-magazine and journals let us know that the vehicle had a small tenure, so was never able to satisfy customer to optimum level. But still in terms of comfortability, grip on road and overall look and feel it was able to acquire a share in the market. Some believes that it is because of being a Toyota that the vehicle has gained popularity, yet for others it is the overall strategy that the Opa car divison followed.
It has also been believed by some, that the vehicle would have gone to decline for undisclosed reasons, only sales being a known factor, if the production would have continued. We can conclude that may be the company expectation of sales was not realistic enough, which lead to hold in the production after 5 years.
