The Toyota Chaser has been in market from 1977 to 2000, with the basic platform being shared with Cressida and Mark II. The GT Twin Turbo was abolished in 1990s with new replacement coming as Tourer V to support purpose.

The Toyota Chaser was made a touring car by introduction of Tourer V. They were heavily modified in terms of look by rear spoiler installation for aerodynamic ease alongside mechanical changes. The headlights and tail lights remained same with the illumination happening to perfection with support of Fog light. The original colors available were the Red, Blue, Green, Silver and Black aside from a few others. The two tones were painted later with spraying of colors to make it a true sporty guide on road.
