Overview of Toyota Caldina

The Toyota Caldina is a spacious minivan first offered in the market in 1992 by the Japanese automobile manufacturing company Toyota.

 

Versions of Toyota Caldina

The car comes in two versions: with passenger and cargo with payload of 500 kg. Initially the car was intended for the domestic market in Japan and was never officially exported outside the country. But with the huge success and reliability Toyota Caldina was also offered to the Europe as Toyota Carina E Sports wagon. But with the development of the secondary car market in Russia, Caldina widespread in the other countries too due to its moves and maneuverability, all-wheel drive, as well as large capacity interior and luggage compartment.

 

First Generation

The first generation Caldino was built on the basis of sedan Toyota Corona. The Passenger version of Caldina is the rear suspension shock absorber struts. Passenger version was produced from November 1992 to September 1997, and commercial cargo version from November 1992 to July 2002. It was offered as 5-door station wagon and 5-door van with FF layout, four-wheel drive.

It was famous about the first generation caldina that it is the most durable car.

 

Second Generation

In 1997 the second generation of Toyota Caldina launched. Cargo-passenger models have undergone only slight external and internal changes. And the appearance of the passenger version of the car has undergone serious changes. A new layout of the all-wheel drive transmission - automatic all wheel drive V-Flex was offered. Classical transmission Full 4WD was only paired with engine 3S-GTE.

 

Third Generation of Caldina
