Toyota Avalon Overview

The Toyota Avalon was made his debut in 1995 by the Japanese automobile company Toyota. It is produced exclusively as a sedan and is currently available in four equipment lines: as a basic version XL, as a touring, as a luxurious XLS as well as in the top version Toyota Avalon Limited. All four variants of the Toyota Avalon are powered by a 3.5-liter V6 engine which delivers 268 hp and accelerates the sedan from 0 to 100 km / h in about 6.6 seconds. The safety package of the Toyota Avalon offers as standard includes ABS, as well as front and side airbags for driver and passenger.

Toyota Avalons market launch dates back to 1995. This vehicle model is assigned to the upper middle class as well as in the car body versions of a sedan. Toyota had designed and built this model exclusively for the US market to offer the Avalon later in North America. The production of the vehicle took place until 2005 exclusively in Australia.

At the present time, various equipment variants, such as the basic version XL, touring or the luxurious XRS, are available. The Toyota Avalon started in 1995 in a completely redesigned vehicle model. The first production line was in the state of Kentucky. The first engine - a three-liter V6 model - emerged from this series. This has a power of 140 kW.

Updated Avalon

It was only after a further development in 1990 that this output could be raised again to 150 kW. This year, Toyota Avalon moved to Australia. From there the car manufacturer took over the renewed production of the current model and took some modernizations in the interior as well as on the bodywork. In 2005 the production of the almost 5 meter long sedan was discontinued.

Today the years 2000 to 2004 can be attributed to the second generation of Toyota Avalon. During this time, the developers made numerous changes to the vehicle. In the engine compartment the vehicle manufacturer reached 157 kW in return. The third generation of the GSX30 was launched in 2005. At first glance, it should be noticed that this renewed model is a lot bigger than its predecessor.

Second Update

A second modernization took place in the third generation in 2008 in a slightly modified front as well as an automatic control. Since 2012 the Toyota Avalon has arrived in its fourth generation and combines a 2.5 l four-cylinder engine with a suitable power of 149 kW. Compared to the first generation, the Toyota Avalon has once again evolved from 1.786 m to 1,835 m.
