The French car manufacturer Renault can not only build on major successes in the passenger car segment, but also on decades of experience in the development of trucks of all kinds.

Renault Trucks Under The Umbrella of Volvo

Buses and heavy trucks were built under the name "Saviem" in 1955. However, as with almost all vehicle manufacturers in the world, this company was also characterized by mergers and acquisitions. The most recent major changes in 1999 included the outsourcing of bus production to Iveco and the takeover of the entire commercial vehicle division by Volvo in 2001.

Sales of Renault Trucks and Volvo Trucks are still separate. The head office for Renault Trucks is located in Lyon, France, while the entire management is carried out by the central organization Volvo Group Trucks Central Europe.

Premiumrenault premium

The premium models form the succession of the Renault R series and are designed with a permissible total weight between 16 and 44 tones for distribution. In the largest version, the Renault Premium is the same weight as the long-distance truck Magnum, but has a slightly smaller engine and does not have the same cab equipment.

Meet the Standards

This model is a distribution vehicle for medium distances. This has recently been replaced by the D series with a permissible total weight between 10 and 26 tones. These successor models, however, are primarily upgraded with updated exhaust gas technology to meet the EU emissions standard Euro 6. The route has proved itself to this day as a tractor also for longer distances with heavy loads.

Specifications of the Premium Models

Characteristic for the premium series is the six-cylinder engine, which is optionally available with 9.8 or 11.1 liters displacement and offers a power range of 240 to 460 hp. The premium is known for its two variants of the drivers cabs, which are available in short or long form; the long cabin can be chosen as a high roof. A flat roof for use as an auto transporter can also be found in the program. To make the drivers work day as comfortable as possible, the Renault Premium Route offers three equipment packages.

Interior/ Exterior

Both the interior and exterior of the vehicle is typical truck type but has great features that make it look stylish from outside and comfortable from inside.

Verdict

Overall the Renault Premium has low fuel consumption with finest safety as well as driving comfort and high performance braking system. The new engine comes with more powerful torque.
