Range Rover Sports- The Vehicle That Brings Excellent Experience

Jaguar Land Rover Automotive PLC is a multinational based in United Kingdom. It basically design, develop, manufacture and sell vehicles of Jaguar and Land Rover. It has gone through a number of acquisitions of diverse companies that had made it a strong contender in international market. With all the thicks and thins it has still survived carving a unique position.


Within Land Rover the Range Rover Sports is one of the models, bringing in experience of a company that had worked under British Motor Company, Ford Motor Company and currently Tata Motors. The Range Rover Sports was launched in 2005 as a luxury SUV and is available till today.
It was able to acquire used car market as well as brand new one with its strategies that made greater difference.

The Chassis Refinement

The semi-monocoque chassis was introduced in the vehicle with separate chassis designed for efficiency. It is because of this basic structure that the long run expenses reduce, making the overall cost of production lower with advancing time. Though it has smaller size of base that makes third row accommodation difficult, but as the vehicle is purely perceived to be a sports facilitator so third row is never an issue.  The initial length was approximately 186.5 inch that increased to 188.3 inch; width was 75.9 inch initially increasing to 76.1 inch while the height remained 71.5 inch. The next generation of 2013 till today had overall changes to 191 inch length and 81.6 inch width.

The Power Train

It is truly a power train with engine and transmission balanced well. The petrol engine brought in 4.2 L, 4.4 L and 5.0 L Jaguar AJ-V8 engines while the 2.7L, 3.0L and 3.6L diesel options were also introduced. The 2013 models have two petrol options of 3.0L and 5.0L while the diesel option included the 3.0L. The petrol engine leads to fuel efficiency while the diesel engine made the towing capacity enhancement. The transmissions that supported engines included the pure robotic experience of 8 speed automatic, 6 speed ZF automatic and 6 speed ZF HP28 automatic transmission respectively.

Balanced Experience

The cross linked air suspension brings in a balanced drive as it enables three ride height settings including the standard ride height, off road height and lowered access model. The extra height can also be adjusted with a button giving off road success. This synchronizes the whole base together in a way that all tires run in balanced manner on uneven roads. To further facilitate the process Traction Control System gives equal traction distribution to all tires. Even in severe cases of accidents the probability is reduced by Anti-lock Braking System that prevents brake lock probability in emergency brake.

The Air Bags makes the balancing mold together with safety to give state of art experience. The nylon made material has fine hole that burst out from Range Rover Sports before the collision cause damage to human body. The other features include seat belts with tensioner and crumple zone protection.
