Mazda and Toyota are two Japanese companies having global presence. They have direct competition from each other, offering similar body style automobiles to segmented market of customers. Mazda stands at 15th position in terms of production, while the Toyota stands as the largest automobile manufacturer.
Toyota has been in automobile manufacturing business, since 1937 and has experience in diversified domains including the motorcycles, engines and commercial vehicles. It is the largest conglomerate having roots deep down around the whole world. Mazda on the other hand was founded in 1920, though it was formally into vehicle business in 1927. The year 1931 was the starting point for Mazda-Go.
The two vehicles in compact MPV body by these two companies are Mazda Premacy and Toyota Wish. Their comparison will best let us know about the strategy both companies follows.
Body Style
The basic body of the two vehicles is the same. Even when we talk about colors available the typical colors of the most expensive Black and the least expensive White one is there. Aside from this Silver, Red, Green and Beige is also there to facilitate the multiple exterior scheme options for customers. The headlights are available in both vehicles, yet the light of Mazda Premacy is comparatively smaller than that of Toyota Wish. Aside from this the Toyota has comparatively more stylish and shinny layout as compare to Mazda.
Mechanic Inside
The first generation of Toyota Wish, starting from 2003, has multiple models being produced till today. The engines that this vehicle brought included the 1800 CC 1 ZZE-FE engine and 2000 CC 1AZ-FSE engine. The transmission of this generation is 4 speed automatic one. The second generation starting from 2009 and continued till today are satisfying customers to the best. It includes the 2ZR-FAE engine and 3ZR-FAE engine which came in 7 speed Super CVT-i transmission only.
The Mazda Premacy on the other hand, is divided in three generations. The first era starting from 1999 to 2004 came with FP-DE engine in 1800 CC and FS-DE/ FS-ZE in 2000 CC in petrol option. The diesel option is the RF-T DI. The transmission of the generation is 4 speed automatic transmissions and 5 speed manual transmissions for ease. The second generation included the 1800 CC, 2000 CC and 2300 CC engine in MZR petrol engine along with the 2000 CC MZ-CD in diesel option. The third generation continuing till today includes the 6 gear manual transmission and 5 speed automatic transmissions.
Interior
Although the interior is approximately same, the Toyota Wish came with hybrid option as well which make it different from the Mazda Premacy. The interior includes the infotainment feature of TV and Navigation, comfort option of seats with AC to support interior atmosphere alongside safety option of seat belts and AirBags. Hence when we talk about features, both vehicles are fully loaded.
Toyota has invested more on research and development, so the minute difference that enhance the brand experience are visible in Toyota Wish as compare to Mazda Premacy.
