Background

Nissan skyline was first introduced in April 1957 and marketed as a luxury car. It had a 1482 cc GA30 engine producing 44 kW. It used a de Dion tube rear suspension and was able to accelerate at 140 km/h (87 mph). Nissan Skyline Nismo LM & 400R

A special edition of Nissan Skyline R33 was launched on November 3, 1997 called 400R, with R representing racing. General planning and development were made by NISMO (Nissan Motorsports International). However, its engine was designed and produced by Reinik (later renamed REIMAX - "REINIK to the MAX"). The planning of NISMO was to produce approximately 100 units of Nismo 400R, but only 44 units were made before production of the R33 ended in 1998.
