The very different looking Nissan Cube was first introduced in the market as an MPV in the year 1998. In its first generation the car was a 5-door hatchback with somewhat conventional style traits that completely changed in the second generation which was started in the year 2002.
The odd looking car to a few was a funky car fashion for some. People who had been complaining about conventional style in the MPV agreed on the distinctive looks of the Nissan Cube. Is it good enough for the dependence of family on it? Let’s look at its engine and design theory.
Nissan Cube Cubic Exterior
Call it a box or oven toaster, the exterior designs grabs your attention in one moment. The conventional grille is skipped in the front bonnet instead a new design is used with Nissan’s name reliably tagged in the middle. The twin front lights on the grille and another pair below adds appeal to this box like car.
The windshield is reasonably big for the driving assistance but not so big that it could undermine the design. Silver work is enticingly patched in the rear lights. The rear lights also have rectangular cluster by their side. In driver’s line rear the little of mirror section is covered with plastic having grill like marks on it.
This ensures that the driver’s gets limited view of the back and may concentrate on driving. The ends that are used in the car are smoothly finished. Same color plastic handles are used for door knobs that are available for the back door too.
The windows on the opposite side of the driver are blackened out as a privacy option. There are 15-inch alloy wheels pushed slightly outwards the case.
Nissan Cube Cubic Interior
Entry to the interiors of used Nissan Cube will be keyless. The front seat has a bench arrangement, if you feel that despite of the flat door the driver’s space is not enough, you can adjust yourself more towards the front seat due to bench design.
The tan cloth with red and white streaks used in its upholstery. Fine plastics are used in the dash board. The instrument panel all consists of soft touches that will provide an expensive feel.
The steering covers an instrument cluster which contains speedo meter and fuel gauge behind it. In the central panel you will find all HVAC controls, power mirror controls and headlamp angle adjuster.
A net pocket is available below the controls which can contain small sized stuff easily. This net is also available on the back of the front seats. There are multiple cup holders on the dash board.
The only problem that you might face is not so big leg room which can be a problem for big size people. The cargo area can be used by sliding the seats towards backward if more room is required.
Engine Performance
The 1.4L engine with four cylinders brings life to driving immediately. The transmission of 4 speed auto transmission gives the right hand to the driver. The Nissan Cube for sale can output the power of 95hp with a 100lb-ft of torque.
