Mitsubishi Colt Overview

The Mitsubishi Colt is a hatchback car offered by the Japanese automobile manufacturing company Mitsubishi since 1962. The car was first launched along with the line of Kei subcompact cars in the 1960 then the subcompact Mitsubishi Mirage was introduced for export version from 1978 to 2002. Mitsubishi Colt has a lot of a history when it comes to local and export market. It has a classy exterior look with interior comfortness.

 

Honda Fit Overview

The Honda Fit is also a subcompact car offered by Honda the famous Japanese company and marketed as Honda Jazz. The car is a five-door, front engine with front wheel drive high performance drive offered in 2001 and now the car is in its third generation. The car is marketed around the world and also plant in the eight countries. Honda Fit is based on the small car platform with Airwave, City, Mobilio Spkie, Mobilio and Freed.

 

Engine Specifications

The five door hatchback Honda Fit has been introduced in three generations until now. The first generation engine offered with 1.2 Liters L12A I4 petrol engine, 1.3 L L13A I4 petrol engine, 1.5 L L15A I4 petrol engine along with 5-speed manual transmission, 5-speed automatic transmission and CVT automatic transmission. The second generation Honda fit offered with 1.2 Liters, 1.3 Liters and 1.5 liters with 5-speed manual transmission, 6-speed manual transmission, 5-speed automatic transmission and CVT automatic transmission for Japanese market. The third generation offered with a 1.2 liter i-VTEC I4 petrol engine 1.3 liter i-DTEC I4, 1.5 liters, 1.5 liters i-DTEC I4, and 1.5 liter diesel with 6-speed manual, 7-speed semi-automatic and CVT automatic transmission.

 

The Mitsubishi Colt comes with a range of engine includes 1.1 liter, 1.3 liter, 1.5 liter, 1.5 liter turbo I4 (petrol) and 1.6 L liter 5-speed manual transmission and 6-speed CVT transmission. Before this the car was offered with a 594 cc air-cooled straight-two engine.

 

Interior Difference

The interior of these two cars are not so much different except the Honda fit is a little spacious than Mitsubishi Colt because of the dimensions which are: length 3,985 mm (156.9 in) from 2009 to 2011 width 1,695 mm (66.7 in) with the height of 1,525 mm (60.0 in) while Mitsubishi Colt is 3,870–3,885 mm (152.4–153.0 in) in length, 1,680 mm (66.1 in) in width and 1,550 mm (61.0 in) in height.
