The Mazda Proceed for sale basically emerged, when the Mazda B Series entered its second generation. Mazda being among the top twenty market leaders, have a unique position to sustain. The layout included the front engine rear wheel drive with the introduction of four wheel drive option as well. The engine displacement included the 2000 CC FE engine, 2200 CC F2 engine, 2600 CC G54B engine and 2600 CC G6 engine with petrol fuel tank. The diesel tank option was 2200 CC R2 engine and 2500 CC WL-T turbo diesel option. The vehicle was designed in a way that it represented lifestyle for masses. In this generation the reach across multiple untapped markets became possible.

1998 to 2006

The extended can was the highlight of this era. The 2 door pickup aside from the traditional way was introduced with extended cab to satisfy the changing need for additional space for passenger in pickup. The four door option included the Freestyle pickup with suicide rear doors. The two wheels and four wheel drive layout were both there for road grip and performance efficiency. This generation, which is considered to be the end of production to Mazda, proceeds for sale. The displacement included in this era were 2200 CC F2 engine, 2600 CC G6E engine for petrol tank alongside 2500 CC WL diesel and 2500 CC WL-T TD engine.
