Overview

Mazda AZ-Wagon is a compact car, which is an analogue of Suzuki Wagon R. The company produces its own version by mutual agreement with Suzuki. External design and decoration of interior of both cars are almost identical. Vehicle dimensions correspond to A-class and high roof provides a large interior capacity. The car is a five-door hatchback. In 2008, Mazda launched AZ wagon’s fourth generation for the sale, which lasted until 2012, and then it was replaced by Mazda Flair.

The Mazda AZ-Wagon has changed design of the front headlamps, bumper and grille. On hatchback it was set only a low-power version of the engine with the capacity of 0.7 liters. Mazda AZ-Wagon is sold on the domestic Japanese market, as well as in a number of Asian countries such as India and Pakistan. In Europe, a similar car was sold under the name Opel Agila.


Dimensions

The car comes with and unusual size: compact length and width, but the high altitude is different. Dimensions Japanese kei car are as follows: length - 3395 mm, width - 1475 mm, height - 1660 mm. The car has a ground clearance of 155 mm, but the design features and low power motor makes it suitable only for trips around the city.

The car comes with three types of transmissions: a four speed manual transmission, five-speed automatic and a robot. The car was produced with front and all-wheel drive (the rear axle can be turned off). Chassis Japanese design includes suspension consisting of a spring strut front and multi-link transmissions dependent rear.

Brakes of Mazda AZ-Wagon consist of ventilated disc and rear drum set ahead. Mazda AZ-Wagon is available in the following configurations: XG, XS, XF, Custom Style XS, XS special, XS Limited and XT. Some versions fully comply with the models Suzuki Wagon R.
