1st generation (1981 – 1986)

A fast displacement engine of 1296 cc powered the cars in this generation. This model also introduced a 5-speed manual or 4-speed programmed transmission. 3rd Generation (1996-2002)
Yet again, in April 1996, the name City showed signs of life. The initial development started at a recently opened plant in Thailand. The model designed in this generation was introduced in the South East Asia market and sold in a similar locale. This vehicle was a massive success in the Subcontinent.
Honda City this generation had powerful engines varying with a 1.3L and 1.5L versions with 4-speed programmed and 5-speed manual transmission. Moreover, it had a fuel-infused 16-valve D-series motor. However, the look and style were completely different from the prior models.

Fourth Generation (2002-2008)
After the successful turnout of the third generation, Honda City progressed to the fourth Generation in 2002. Some changes in the structure were made. However, the introduced trim levels were not liked by the audience.
Magnificently it zeroed in on mileage and provided a smooth drive with outstanding performance. Besides that, it accompanied a twin-flash I-DSI engine with eight fittings, giving phenomenal speed.
