Dodge Nitro - Offering Dynamic Looks With Decent Cargo

Dodge manufactured a compact SUV called The Dodge Nitro from the 2007 to the 2012. The platform of Nitro was combined with the second generation Jeep Liberty. The debut of Nitro was made in February 2005 at the Chicago Auto Show, offering an aluminum themed interior design. After the discontinuation of Raider in 1990, the Nitro was considered Dodges first compact SUV model.

 

Roots of Truck 

As far as styling and design are concerned, small-to-midsize SUVs are generally considered pretty traditional. But the used Dodge Nitro is an exception. Mechanically, the Nitro looks like a Jeep. The uni-body design has been assigned to it. Engine Power

The engine offer a 210-hp 3.7-liter V6 combined with a four-speed automatic (a six-speed manual was standard for 2007 and 08). All Nitro models contain rear-wheel drive and four-wheel drive. A part-time system with high- and low-range gearing is provided in later versions. A 260-hp 4.0-liter V6 combined with five-speed automatic was offered as standard on the R/T, Detonator and Shock trims.

 

Standard Features 

SXT was the name originally given to the base trim, but later it changed to SE in 2009, and then Heat for 2010. Despite of the fact what Dodge called it, the standard features of Base Nitro are air-conditioning, a roof rack and auxiliary audio. 20-inch chrome-clad rims were also added along with standard 16-inch steel wheels. The features that upper trims (SLT and R/T originally, then Detonator and Shock for 2010) contain are heated seats, leather upholstery, a sunroof, navigation. In later model years Bluetooth and upgraded sound systems were introduced.

 

Interior 

The interior of Used Dodge Nitro for Sale gives an industrial feel, though the place lights up a bit due to faux aluminum accents. The quality of materials is praise-worthy. Decent cargo space is offered among compact SUVs.

 

Safety

To shelter the whole side window area, a pair of front and curtain airbags has been provided in every Nitro. To reduce the chances of collision, stability control system is assigned that offers a function to decrease the chance of the car rolling over.

 

Space Availability 

Four people can easily sit in as Nitro offers plenty of legroom. Even, the fifth passenger can also occupy the space in rear seat. The back side provides enough space for headroom, though it is not the case with the front side. The boot has a good size and shape but unlike its rivals it is shallower. For loading heavy items, split rear seat has been provided that folds and generates a flat space.

 

Used Dodge Nitro is a good combination of a lower cost with good looks. Unlike its rivals you may not need to pay the high price to avail the features its offering.
