Daihatsu Delta - Market Well Catered

Daihatsu is the Japanese manufacturer with vehicles range of small and off road cars. The name Daihatsu has Japanese implications, and the company has been formed in 1907. The product range offered includes the automobiles and engines. Although since 1992 Daihatsu has been distributed by Toyota, the Japanese giant.
It went through financial crisis in 1997 and had its plant in Thailand closed. The year 2005 brought in other bad news of the closure in Australian operations although the growth of 7% was calculated. Hence it can be said that a combination of good and bad news together created this strong car contender.


The Daihatsu Delta offered a range of trucks and vans in the 40 year tenure from 1970 to 2010. The trucks brought in the advantage of door to door cargo transportation with less lapse time. Daihatsu Delta v57, v118, v116 & v58r hs versions lead to enhancing customer experience. These versions led to reduction in cost of transportation with storage of cargo safely and easily. The two major models of Daihatsu Delta for sale are as follows:

 

Toyota Dyna

The medium duty cab over Toyota Dyna was first introduced in 1959 as a standard cab and crew cab body. It has been available as a medium duty truck was offered as Delta 1500/ 2000 initially. It was best for towing everyday inventory and was available in both petrol and diesel option. The diesel option gained greater popularity because this type of Daihatsu Delta Truck had the basic purpose of carrying load to perfection and was able to do it well. Initially the vehicle was offered as a 2- 3 tonner with 1 to 1.5 tonner also introduced considering the preference of target market.


For marketing purpose the name used is still Dyna 100, 150, 200, 250, 300 and 350 that is the pointer of the payload, although the platform has changed to U300 and U400 over the years. The two door options were available in truck, though the van version had 4 door options.

 

Toyota LiteAce

The Toyota LiteAce and TownAce production started in 1970 as a 2 door truck and 4 to 5 door van. It comes under light duty truck and has been exported to Asia, Australia and Africa. In its first generation it had come as 11600 CC and 1290 CC petrol option only. As the less fuel consumption was the biggest goal as compare to improved performance. As it was the era of 70s so manual transmission was only there at the moment in 4 gears.  The 80s era brought in diverse options in both engine and transmission.

 

The engine size at that time included the 1290 CC, 1626 CC, 1770 CC and 1812 CC in petrol option while the diesel option 1839 CC was introduced. The transmissions available included the 4 speed and 5 speed manual transmissions with 3 speed introduction. Improvements continued leading the van/ wagon body that came as 5 speed manual and 4 speed automatic transmissions.  It came as semi-cab over engine body that brought in improvements to make it purpose-driven to perfection.
