coming under the name of Subaru. The vehicle manufacturing facility, being not the core function of this conglomerate has a bit more penetration requirement. Subaru stands at twenty sixth positions in terms of production.
Nissan Xterra comes as a SUV that is based on Nissan F-Alpha platform. The vehicle is named after Xterra off-road triathlon race series that was sponsored from 1998 to 2006 by the company. The Subaru Outback since its production in 1994 till today has more worked as a shadow to its brother Subaru Legacy. Hence it is derived from the second generation of Subaru Legacy
Exterior
The distinguishing features that remained unchanged throughout the life span of the vehicle includes a distinctive raised roof rail, differentiable rear door handles and hump backed rear gate. The rear door handles are the traditional C pillar design followed by Nissan since its introduction of Nissan Pathfinder model year 1986. The lights of the Nissan Xterra got bolder with sharper shape with each coming generation.
There were multiple parts that Legacy has donated to the Subaru Outback with exception of minute differences in trim. Even in a number of markets it is known as Legacy Outback. The company developed this vehicle by adding body cladding to sides and raising the suspension of the Legacy wagon. It has typical exterior required for a classy SUV experience including the Roof Rail, Alloy Wheels and solid body.
The colors that remained common in the exterior for both the vehicle includes Red, Blue and Green in challenging body; while the general colors includes White, Silver and Black for those who look for common colors.
Interior
The interior of Nissan Xterra is comfortable enough with or without the effect of exterior. Like the raised roofline on exterior gives stadium seating facility, hence the people at the back are given clear viewing by high seats as compare to the front. The hump backed rear gate on the other hand, gives first aid kit storage ease. The latest features inside of 2013 Nissan Xterra includes the Utili-Track Cargo Channel System with two channels on the floor along with two more on the ceiling. This together gave the holding capacity of 8 solid, sliding and adjustable cleats; towing anything with efficiency. The Cargo area under the floor gives additional storage advantage; while the 60/40 rear seat split allow more room for cargo storage.
The comfort-ability through inside feature was also there in Subaru Outback with enough head/ leg room in both front and rear. The cargo space is also optimized with 65/35 split of rear seats. The different trims have different seat cloth with dashboard material usage, though the light and dark interior scheme option remained constant in both.
The traditional interior features of Power Window, Power Steering, Dual airbag, Anti-lock Braking System, Tv and Navigation remained same in both, though the perception of the brand in the mind of customer is something that remain inseparable in Nissan Xterra and Subaru Outback.

The Nissan Xterra 2016, 2015, 2012, 2008, 2004, 2003 & 2002 are most recommended models while in case of Subaru Outback, model year 2015, 2014, 2012, 2010, 2009, 2007 & 2005 are specially preferred in Japanese used car market.
