Mitsubishi Used Cars

The Mitsubishi Group of Companies is a Multinational conglomerate company with the autonomous businesses with shared Mitsubishi Brand and Trademark.

The company was founded by Yataru Iwasaki in 1870. The company name is derived from "Mitsu", means three and "hishi" means water chestnut which is also noticeable from the Mitsubishi famous logo with three diamonds.

In 1970, Mitsubishi formed its automotive division of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries. Following the year in 1971, Mitsubishi had an alliance with a foreign company of U.S, "Chrysler" when 15% share was purchased by Mitsubishi Company. As a result of this deal, Chrysler started to sale the Mitsubishi Galant in U.S.A by the name of Dodge Colt. The annual production of Dodge Colt exceeded 250,000 vehicles and was available for sale in Australia in 1977.

Mitsubishi had an edge in innovation and development as it was the first company to make Diesel engine in Japan in 1931, Mitsubishi again was the first company to manufacture 4WD passenger car in 1934. Following the research, Mitsubishi was the first automobile manufacturer to build Air-Suspension truck and the tilt cab in early 1950s. Mitsubishi was the first company to own seven straight wins in the Rally.

In 1980, Mitsubishi could successfully achieve the production of one million cars when the Australian manufacturing division of Chrysler was purchased and renamed as Mitsubishi Motors Australia Ltd. Leading the deal in Australia, Mitsubishi introduced its model range in America for the first time in 1982.

Mitsubishi Motors also had alliances with the known automobile manufacturing companies as Volvo, Proton, Hyundai and some Chinese companies. The company also had an association with the movie actor, Jackie Chan for 30 years who used their vehicles in his movies during his acting career. As an honor, Toyota made 50 Special Lancer Evo IX which was named, Jackie Chan Special Edition. Mitsubishi Cars are economical, trendy and durable and posses low depreciation value as compare to its competitors.

Mitsubishi has vehicle manufacturing facilities globally as in Japan, Netherlands, Thailand, Philippines, Brazil, U.S.A and 12 other plants as in partnership. Mitsubishi is successfully selling its vehicles in more than 160 countries worldwide. Mitsubishi made Revenue of 1.8 Trillion JPY in 2010 with the Net Income of 15.6 Billion JPY operating with 30,709 employees.
