Leading towards the progress and growth of the company, Isuzu in 1918 came in cooperation with Wolseley Motors Limited to acquire the exclusive rights of production of sales in East Asia.

In Asian and African markets, Isuzu is famous for trucks of all sizes as Isuzu had to cease the production of all sedans and compact cars in late 90s. As 63.4% of Isuzu sedans and compact cars were diesel engine, the international market could not respond accordingly and thus Isuzu vacant the USA consumer market in 2009. Now, some of the Isuzu cars are continued with the different brand names and some Isuzu Pick-up trucks, commercial trucks and diesel engine vehicles are still produced under Isuzu banner.
