Mozambique Used Cars for Sale from Japanese Exporter & Dealer

Mozambique is South East African country with the Indian ocean, Malawi and Tanzania at its borders. Maputo is the capital of Mozambique and hence all used cars exported from Japan to Mozambique are received at the Maputo port. Fortunately there is no age restriction on importing car from Japan to Mozambique. Before importing a vehicle from Japan to Mozambique all vehicles should pass the Intertek Mozambique inspection test, the Intertek is a Government authority which issues an authentic certificate that the car being imported to Mozambique from Japan is worthy to be driven on Mozambique roads.

When the vehicle reaches Mozambique the buyer has to claim the MOZ number assigned by Intertek after carefully and thoroughly inspecting the vehicle. The highly demanded cars of Mozambique are: Corolla, Runx, allex, vitz, Prado, Landcruiser, Altezza, funcargo (1996 to 2004) and the commercial vehicles preferred to be imported from Japan to Mozambique are: Diana, Rosa, Canter, Coaster, Cami, hiace (1996 to 2002).

The custom duty on vehicles with engine displacement greater than 1500 CC is 40% on the other hand, the custom duty on vehicles with engine displacement less than 1500 CC is 25%. There is no custom duty on Mini Buses imported to Mozambique. However custom duty on single cabs is 20%. The VAT is 15% on Cars, Mini-buses and single cabs.

No vehicle can enter Mozambique from Japan without the pre-shipment certificate issued by Intertek.
