Honda Civic is a 4-door family car with a seating capacity of five passengers. Mechanical features of the car includes its engine of 1.8L water-cooled in-line 4-cylinder 16-valve SOHC i-VTEC, multi-point fuel injection system, drive-by-wire throttle system and direct ignition system with immobilizer.

The car is available in synchromesh 5-speed manual transmission and in compact 5-speed automatic (Progressive Shift management technology). Rack and pinion power assisted steering is installed in the car with a steering radius of 2.67 Lock-to-Lock. Dimensional features of the car include its length 4540mm, width 1755mm, and height 1435mm.
