Overview of Volvo S60

With the sporty midsize sedan Volvo S60, the successor of the Volvo S70, the Scandinavian automaker managed Volvo a remarkable start to the Millennium. The Volvo S60 is fitted, whether diesel, petrol or bi-fuel engine (petrol and natural gas), with a line five-cylinder with or without turbo. The drive strengths range here of 140 (Volvo S60 2.4 / Volvo S60 Bi-Fuel) to the remarkable 300 horsepower Volvo S60 R, the ultra-sporty equipment line of Volvo S60 (R stands for "refined", "refined").


In 2004 the Volvo S60car was underwent a facelift, which is only marginally moved but changes to the exterior by itself. This gave the S60 series now fully extended the nose of tangy "R" version, a new grille, new bumpers and new headlights. Besides the proven S60 diesel engines (S60 D5), a thrifty 1.6-liter turbocharged gasoline engine and 180 hp is used. If thats not enough, reaches for the top model Volvo S60 T5 customized from the start.


Interior

The interior of Volvo 60 has Volvo spiced up with sports seats available in various colors and additional wood decor elements. Used to date was also the vehicle control system Sensus already used in the S60. Under the additional designation "Connected Touch" Volvo intends to offer even more driver assistance and multimedia features, which are controlled by buttons on the steering wheel. Right efficient is the new S60s with the D2-called entry-level diesel (115 hp).


For the four-cylinder Volvo indicates a fuel consumption of just 4.0 liters per 100 kilometers. Volvo plans to release the third generation of the S60 chassis with four types. The Volvo S60 is no longer fresh, but still chic. What is new is the strong diesel drive - with all the problems that brings with it downsizing. Volvo offers the midsize sedan S60 with one of the new downsized diesel engines. This is for a sedan that competes with the BMW 3 Series and Mercedes C-class, not bad at all, especially since they are associated with a torque of 400 Newton meters.
